Every So Often I Have The Clarity of Death, is a narrative on the fog that society and culture impose on us. The clarity that comes to us with the realization of our mortality. Becoming free of all the labels put on ourselves, along with the ones foisted from society. Through this, we find what our time here will mean.
Painted on panel that mimics the hollowness of a Hollywood set. The work comments on how our culture has created ways to continuously connect us, yet is contributing to our decaying fulfillment. We focus more on the quantity of relationships rather than the quality. Living in a world, more connected to friends but less connected to friendships. In the thought of our limited days, we can clear the haze around us and focus on our true meaning.
